I used to take picture nearly every day. As the kids have gotten older,
busier, and more independent, the camera comes out less and less. I
used to wonder why in my own family growing up, we had so many pictures
of us as little kids, but by the time we were older, the pictures became
less and less. I think I am finally understanding the reason. When
you're home all day, it's easy to remember to take a picture. When
you're on the run all day, it's not so easy. This came to me as I was
sitting at Elizabeth's preschool Mother's day brunch watching everyone
snap pictures while wondering why I had forgotten my camera (I don't
have a smart phone, so I don't have that as an option). I need to make a
conscious effort to remember the camera a little more or else our
annual family photo book is going to be pretty sparse.
Anyway, here are the updates. Me carrying on about my health, Daniel being amazing, and Elizabeth exploring the wide world of markers. James is still doing great despite not getting any blog time. He's our little socialite with more birthday party invites and playdates than I can keep track of at any given moment (I feel like I'm his personal secretary sometimes as I answer phone calls for his social life).
If you can get through my ramblings, you get a prize. Let me know and I'll mail it to you. ha ha
